Controlled Chaos: In this 2-day, Project workshop, I will present the basic elements and principles of compostion, such as line, color, texture, balance, rhythm, focal point, and unity. I will also be teaching techniques for tapping into your creative subconscious, and methods for working intuitively, while still observing the rules of good composition. While learning techniques for multi-layered, mixed media painting, I will guide you through my unique art making process. You will have an opportunity to create an art piece guided by this process and using techniques such as gel transfers and stencilling with plaster.
All materials will be supplied, and are included in the price of the workshop.
Please bring with you:
1. A variety of paint brushes.
2. Several photocopies (toner based) of imagery you wish to use in your art piece.
3. Any other art supplies you want to use or experiment with. (ie. collage materials)
